The general login machines are ui.pic.es. These machines provide interactive SSH access to the PIC computing infrastructure and serve as the main entry point for command-line based workflows.
From ui.pic.es you can:
- Access the different PIC file systems (HOME directories, project spaces, scratch areas, CVMFS).
- Submit, monitor, and manage batch jobs through the HTCondor workload management system.
- Prepare, test, and debug job submission scripts.
- Inspect job outputs and logs, and manage data transfers.
The login machines are intended for interactive work, lightweight testing, and job orchestration only. Compute-intensive tasks must be executed through HTCondor or interactive services such as Jupyter, and must not be run directly on the login nodes.
